AYO on Tour - Hong Kong
Pace of events running hot. Rehearsal Camp officially comes to a close with exciting last rehearsals, tour briefings and move to Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall. Can’t believe we’re onstage for an acoustic rehearsal before Opening night on Friday. WOW, really can’t believe how beautifully our guest soloist Anna Tsybuleva plays the Rachmaninoff / Paganini. A fan calls it “the best performance ever.” The orchestra is clearly inspired. James Judd writes, "Fantastic concert last night from Bayreuth to Moulin Rouge. The orchestra played superbly, the sonority and confidence maturing every minute through the programme.” 24 hours later we’re back onstage for program B with Maestro Judd conducting.
A fan writes: "I’m just out of the performance. A graceful interpretation of Enescu’s Romanian Rhapsody and a powerful interpretation of Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances. Violin soloist Benny Yu-Chien Tseng was detailed, strong and incredibly possessive in his playing of Barber’s violin concerto. A great opening for your B program.”
And less than yet another 24 hours later we’re onstage for our music for special needs families and friends charity concert.
